After my last post My sister kindly reminded me today is #blackouttuesday and so I would have saved my last post had I have realised sooner. But it’s said and done now. Sending my love 💛

To serve and protect. His life was taken by the people who have been entrusted to protect it for nothing other then plain ignorance and blatant racism . I think of the people involved and I imagine them all as one year old babies, My daughters age and I think of that innocence that belongs to them at the age and I think of all the things that they heard, seen and learnt, the long outdated conditioning they must have received growing up that gave them such a warped view on what humanity and morality means. It’s so important to guide the next generation to lead by example in exactly what love, equality and kindness looks and feels like. Help them to embrace physical differences safe in the knowledge that beyond physicality’s we are all souls wanting and deserving of living and loving freely and equally. I hope that all the men responsible for the atrocity that has taken place will be met with just repercussions and I hope America will take the security blanket away from the murderers in uniform and proactively bring about change once and for all, so that lives can be protected and not ruthlessly taken. It is inconceivable to me that this still happens In 2020. Though I don’t like the thought of all the violence taking place amidst the riots and a lot of people are judging the protesters but we have to understand that people have had enough and they don’t have the money or political power, so they’re doing what they know they can because everyone is emotionally exhausted and dumbfounded at how this is still happening in 2020, so they are standing up for what is an absolute injustice. Backs are against the wall, enough is enough. From what I can see the police instead of respecting the protest are mostly meeting them with confrontation and antagonism. I can’t even begin to relate to what it would feel like to be discriminated against (that’s putting it very lightly) for the colour of my skin, maybe I will never fully understand but I will continue to empathize to the best of my ability, I will continue to keep Educating myself for my own unlearning and for the future that I hope to help carve for my daughter, my nephews and future generations.
