Happy Monday lovelies, I hope you had the kind of weekend that brings you a week of content. It seems I am currently into to olive green skirts at the moment, remember my last post Here, I was wearing an olive green skirt there too! Luckily for me, I haven’t had to buy any new styles and instead I have been able to turn to my older pieces to satisfy my olive green interest. This is why it is worth investing in styles that are timeless rather than “of the time” and no timeless pieces don’t always have to be expensive, though the one in today’s post was a little more money, the green midi skirt I wore in my last post was about thirty pounds and from Asos when I bought it four-five years ago.
Though I don’t bring out this skirt every season or every year for that matter, that only serves to create a bigger impact for when I do decide to bring it out and style it up. I’ve worn it a lots of different ways over the years but I have to say to this is possibly one of my favourites! And I love that an older piece like this skirt still manages to inspire new looks. I won’t go as far as saying don’t buy new because I buy new clothes and though I am aware of the environmental impact this may have, I feel if we are all a little more conscientious about our choices when shopping and becoming more thoughtful to the longevity that the piece has to offer as well as how much we consume then at the very least, as consumers we are changing the way we shop and therefor creating better foundations for consumerism, or at least I hope. I hope you like todays post.
Sending you love and light for the week ahead,
