This year we set out to do not one but three room renovations! I know 2020 was the year that most people were doing working on their homes but for us 2021 has been the year for some much needed and long overdue home improvements. The main reason in which drove these renovations was the fact that Nova-Rose still didn’t have a room of her own, my clothes did but she didn’t! This was because and as you can imagine i have a lot of clothes too many for a standard wardrobe and to avoid our bedroom from becoming swallowed up by clothes, for a while we just couldn’t figure out how to make it work.
That was until My partner came up with the solution of making our en-suite into a walk in wardrobe of some kind and moving Nova-Rose into the second bedroom that the clothes were current inhabiting. the only problem was going to be our bathroom because the en-suite was our only working bathroom, the main bathroom was practically derelict and renovating that was going to be the foundation of making the possibility of making Nova-Rose’s room possible. It was by far the biggest job of all three renovations but thankfully my partner made it look easy and got it in done in record time and we couldn’t be happier with the result. I am sorry the photos aren’t my best, its a tight room and there’s not a huge amount of natural light and it was really tricky to shoot, or for me who’s basically a novice in the art of photography but still I wanted to share the few images that I do have, including one further down of what it looked like before.
I have also included some of the pieces we used in the decor of the bathroom and though it’s no secret of my love for The White Company, I must admit that I couldn’t help but indulge in their pieces for this room because they had a lot of what I was looking for. The glass jars in my photos were actually from John lewis but they don’t appear to be in stock but The White Company are a similar style. One of my favourite pieces is the basket at the end of the bath/shower as it stores our shampoos and other likely products neatly away and out of sight, i’m not a fan of it looking cluttered. Also the Meraki hand wash and cream, though arguably a little expensive, I can’t deny has a beautiful soothing scent and its longevity is pretty awesome too! It gets used all throughout the day and has somehow lasted months, I can’t help but love these little luxuries.
Well, Ithink i have said enough and I hope you have enjoyed today’s post, remember you can follow my lellavictoriahome instagram account here.
