Family Travel: Tarr Steps Exmoor

A couple of weeks ago, we headed down to a place called Tarr Steps, a wooded area we have been meaning to visit for a couple of years now but for one reason or another we simply haven’t got there. Well, on a warm and sunny sunday we finally got there! Before we left that day, i was considering putting it off yet again because to be honest with you, I was feeling really overwhelmed that day, I’m not ashamed to say that I was struggling with Nova-Rose bless her heart, it was just one of those days that mums have every now and again. Anyway I pushed through it and once we got there and settled to a spot, my overwhelming emotions started to fade in the background. I couldnt say whether it was the healing vibrations of nature, the free flowing sound of the river, the sound and sight of children running around, i and out of the water or the fact that Nova-Rose is never happier or more content then when shes surrounded by nature and next to water! Whatever it was, it bought the healing that I needed that day and seeing conan being the amazing dad he is with our daughter by getting involved, being incredibly present and taking her into the river to an authentic experience just feels me with so much gratitude for the dynamic we have created.

Tarr steps is i believe a nature reserve and its in the heart of exmoor and the stone bridge is ancient. It is a truly beautiful place to visit and i already cannot wait to go back there in middle of the autumn, as I am told thats when it is at its best. There is also a cafe or restaurant located there, we didn’t go there this time around but i am told that it serves yummy food, maybe next time we will try it out.

Well, that is all from me today. I hope you enjoyed todays post. Sending you love and light,

Daniella x
