Happy In Yellow

Happy Friday lovelies, we seem to be blasting through this year and the summer is pretty much here but today’s look was more of a relaxed springtime outfit, though it could easily work for summer too. I’m so happy we have been able to take Nova-Rose to the park this spring. It was something we didn’t do last year even in-between lockdowns, I just didn’t feel like we were safe doing so. Even now I pick and choose our times and mostly try to go whilst most children are in school, which is a shame because it would be nice to see her running around alongside other little ones but this will happen soon enough I’m sure.

Anyway I’m really loving yellow for this spring/summer, so much so, I included not one but two pieces in today’s style. It somewhat created a coordinated look with the hat and jeans, as they were quite a close colour match. I liked this, as it felt like a different take on co-ord’s, which is usually more inclusive of a jacket and trousers or top and skirt. I broke up the yellows with a striped knit, I often think stripes as a bit of a fail-safe, almost a neutral and whilst I am usually typically drawn to tucking an oversized style such as this into my trousers, I instead mimicked the wider style of the trousers for an all round oversized feel.

Sending you lots of love and light for the weekend ahead, take a note out of my book and try something spontaneous this weekend (here) it’s amazing how much positive energy going with what you feel in the moment can bring you,

Daniella xx
