Chic Details For Winter-Wear

Happy Monday lovelies. This past weekend we celebrated my partner’s birthday and of course it was a quiet celebration and once again we missed celebrating it with all of our loved ones but it’s to be expected in these times. We did however do what we could with what we had and decided to create a diner theme for his birthday meal and cooked burgers (jackfruit style for me) chips and made Oreo milkshakes. It was enough to make the day a little different and feel more festive.

Today’s look features a coat i actually invested in last winter and it has continued to serve me well and keep me warm this current winter, goodness knows it’s been quite the cold one! Because this coat can so easily overtake an outfit, which is fine especially when the agenda is to simply keep warm. But this time I did what I could to update this coat and make it a little less uniform. I added a belt to clinch in the waist, a simple age old trick that still carries sartorial weight behind it and it was only last week that I shared another look in where I belted my coat, see here. I also wore my white collar as this, I felt, was the current update the outfit needed and welcomed. I was concerned that this would leave little room for a scarf but I opted for a thick turtleneck to be worn underneath which in my opinion was the perfect compromise and kept my neck warm. Well I hope you like this winter look, I am really starting to look forward to creating some spring looks, the temperatures look a little more friendly this week and so maybe a little pre-spring style can be on the cards! Here’s hoping.

Sending love and light to you,

Daniella xx
