Winter’s Whites and Chunky Boots

Happy Monday lovelies! How was your weekend? I try my best to stay positive and having an almost two year old daughter definitely helps keep me busy. But that said I do have those days where I feel the heaviness of the current situation and sometimes boredom kicks in which puts me on edge. I love being out in nature and exploring all the local spots as and when we can, it has and continues to be my sanctuary, before the days of Covid and undoubtedly it will be long after! That said I of course miss all the other things I loved doing but I know everyone is feeling this way right now, we are all in this together and I believe we just got hunker down, do what we can and make the best of this situation in the small and meaningful ways we can. It’s a challenge but with unity, I believe it’s one we can overcome. I apologise if you came here to escape this tough reality, I do my best to keep things Covid free here, just sometimes I need to share my feelings in case anyone is going through the same feelings.

Today’s outfit is a concoction of winter whites and neutrals, with the exception of the black chunky boots. Whilst we are still in the depth of winter and thinking ahead to the early days of spring, I’d like to invest in a new pair of chunky black ankle boots but a style without laces. Because when we do go out for our walks, they are often little and often and the commitment of lacing up my doc martens can be a lot and so I feel that a Chelsea boot style would be money well spent. These dr martens have been my go-to for years now and have been in heavy rotation, I would certainly recommend them as an edgier classic to anyone’s wardrobe but they are better when being worn for longer periods of time.

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Sending you an abundance of love and light,

Daniella x
