The Blouse Worth Waiting For

Happy Monday my lovelies!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are now ready to embrace the new week. This past weekend we had some family over to sit in the garden, which was perfectly suited to this last splash of summer we are currently being blessed with. Nova-Rose was able to see her cousin who is only six months older then her. Nova-Rose isn’t the most sociable little madam but still, it was nice to see them around one another. Then yesterday we took a small trip to quaint little beach that’s not very far from us, we hadn’t been there before and so therefor, we didn’t know much about it and so as it was, when we arrived we discovered that the tide was in and that meant the only sensible entrance to the beach was blocked by the ocean and so we would have to swim our way to the beachside, which didn’t seem like a bright idea with a pram and a one year old!

So even though it seemed as though the trip was waisted, I try and look on the bright side and the positives I took from it were, we got out, we had a nice drive (the roads on the way there are very pretty) we listened to music in the car, which doesn’t seem like something worth mentioning but just sitting in the passenger seat, driving across beautiful roads listening to nothing but good music is one of my favourite things to do, I find it so freeing and calming. I also find when experiences don’t go as planned, in a way it has the potential for becoming more memorable, as long as you keep a light heart and laugh it off.

Today’s outfit was taken in the height of summer and I would have loved to have had more wear out of this blouse during the summer months but unfortunately it took a month to be delivered, due to COVID delays. I’m not complaining though, I’m just grateful to have it. I loved wearing it with the denim shorts and these wrap around sandals for a simple summer look. Thinking ahead to the autumn and I don’t feel as though I ready to pack this piece away just yet and so I am thinking I will try styling it with my toffee coloured trousers as an attempt to bring it into to fall.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Sending you love and light,

Daniella x
