Though this summer doesn’t feel like much of a summer in many ways one thing that keeps me connected to the current season is my wardrobe and the sartorial choices I make each day. Summer dresses are always a lovely option to have in ones summer wardrobe but this year especially, I’m finding myself wanting to stock on up on some easy summer dresses. Even though I’ve collected a few summer dresses over the years, I still feel like this year is the year to stock up and integrate a few new but hopefully timeless designs into my wardrobe and if I am selective and thoughtful with my choices then usually summer dresses will stand the test of time.
With regards to styles, I’m into the looser silhouette this year, either very crisp and minimal or printed and feminine but both have to feel light, airy and loose fitting, for the most part anyway. This blue floral number was bought back in the spring (you may have seen it briefly here) and when styling the dress this time I wanted to bring a more put-together feel to the look and I did this by adding in a white blazer. And whilst these chunky sole loafers felt consistent with the smarter styling they also bought a casual and less serious element to the outfit due to their exaggerated sole. I loved taking these photos, I remember it was the first time we went somewhere outside of the home/village to shoot in a long time and thankfully it was a beautiful sunset and perfectly quiet.
I hope you like todays Outfit photos.
Sending you love and light,
