Despite posting this look Here first, todays outfit was actually the first time I wore and styled this leather skirt. It was a skirt I had been wanting for ages, a perfect leather midi, I wanted one in a fuller style and one that was more of a streamlined pencil fit and whilst the hunt for the fuller style continues, I found this one via & Other Stories and I know this the beginning of a long lasting sartorial relationship. Though in a perfect world I would have bought one that was faux leather as that is now my preference and ultimately the reason that stopped me from buying one up until recently but I simply couldn’t find one that I liked.
I try and be super conscious of the leather I invest in now as I don’t eat cow and so wearing it feels odd but I try and justify by it (I know it doesn’t really justify it) saying to myself that I’m not reckless when it comes to buying leather and also I’m not one for fast fashion and everything I buy I see as an investment that I will use over and over again. I styled the skirt with my Joseph knit and OTK boots for a minimal-chic but kinda cosy look. The brown teddy coat from last winter bought a neutral tone to the otherwise monochrome outfit.
I hope you like the look.
Sending you love and light,
