Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope your weekend was well spent. I was suffering with a head cold on the Saturday but it seemed a little better on the Sunday and we celebrated my sisters birthday even though her actual birthday is on the 12th. After a lovely day spent with my family yesterday I got thinking and I know how lucky I am to have a family like mine. They are supportive, kind, generous and for the most part understand me and if they don’t they accept me anyway. When I see people who aren’t blessed In the same capacity I feel for them, you can see the disconnect and quite often the sadness that can cause.

The other day my friend told me about how they were treated by their sibling who I’m also friends with and I think if they can treat family like that, what would they do to their friends?! Family doesn’t always have to be defined by being blood related, we can also have our soul family too, people who we may feel closer to then our “real family”. It’s okay if that’s your path, as long as you have good people around you to love, support and accept you then that’s all that matters. Whoever you are, wherever you are I hope you are blessed with people who will help you to be your best self because we all deserve to have good people in our lives and if you don’t feel you have that, then filter out who brings you down and choose to be the good you want to see In other people and soon enough you’ll attract that same energy back.

. Just a simple look to kick start the week, I updated the retro corduroy blazer with the coated jeans, I like the textured combination it created. A minimal approach to styling a corduroy classic.

Sending you love and light for the week ahead,

Daniella x
