How To Make Your Autumn Memorable

Happy Monday my lovelies!

I hope you had a nice weekend. Despite still feeling unwell, I put my fake it to make face on and made the most of the dry weather (finally) and the family and I got round to taking part in some festive activities. Just because the summer is officially over (boy did the temps suddenly drop, pictures were taken a little while ago) doesn’t mean we have to retreat to being stuck and feeling board inside. My sister, mum and me sat down a couple of weeks ago and made a list of all the things we want to do this autumn/winter and when you put your mind to it, it’s amazing how full up the calendar can become. We like to do this because it gives us things to look forward to and prevents us from becoming stuck in a hibernation slump and with the clocks going back and being on the receiving end of less sunlight, it’s important to take extra care of our emotional happiness as well as keeping ourselves mentally stimulated. It doesn’t have to be expensive events that are planned, they can be as expensive or inexpensive as one wants or needs.

Get creative, try looking up local events that are lighthearted and possibly have free entry or at least with a low fee. Or it can be as simple as going out for a planned walk somewhere a little different to normal and taking in all the beautiful colours that this time of the year bring to us. You could even plan a movie day but put some effort into it by bringing down all your cosiest blankets, make some hot chocolates and yes add all the extras, the marshmallows, cream, sprinkles, the lot! It’s about making it a little more memorable and a little more special, trust me a little more effort can go along way and even its just for you and you alone, you are good enough and worthy enough to go the extra mile and make your autumn just as fun as the summer!

This outfit was worn a few weeks back, in the middle of September I think and I have one more outfit to post with me wearing these mules and then, you probably wont be seeing them until next spring! I bought this skirt back in the summer on discount and as much as I loved wearing the outfit I am sharing today I am really looking forward to styling it with a pair of OTK boots and a thick knit for a much more authentic autumnal look.

Well, wishing you a lovely week and sending you much love and light,

Daniella x
