People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

~Mother Teresa”

For whatever reason I felt intuitively guided to share this with you today. I can’t say anything has happened in particular to evoke the decision to post this other then it continues to inspire, humble and ground me. I don’t know whether to reference it to being a poem or a quote but either way it’s a timeless reminder that always has a place in this world. I have an ever growing admiration for this message, so much so I belive I should probably have it framed and hung somewhere prominent in our home. A loving and gentle reminder not to allow the challenging people and circumstances of this world to make us bitter.

I think to stare adversity, negative people, grief, challenge, rejection, abuse of any kind in the face and not let it drown or consume you and take away your inner light and beauty says you win! To grow and become a kinder more compassionate soul in spite of our personal challenges should be considered and viewed as one of the highest forms of success. To be kind to those who can do nothing for you is a great strength and sometimes we all need a reminder that we are all capable of doing this. To smile at a stranger regardless of whether they smile back or not, to hold a door open for someone even though the last person you did it for chose not to recognise this kindness are just small and simple examples of how we can keep being true to our beautiful souls regardless of what we receive in return.

Though I cannot say that I always have the best patience, the kindest words or naturally forgiving ways, I continue to try and grow regardless because the practice will eventually pay off and just being conscious is something and I always believe that something is better then nothing. All we can do is continue to try our best and forgive ourselves on the days when trying to be our best is harder for whatever reason then on other days.

Today’s outfit is a perfect combination of old and new (ish). These check trousers were bought from ASOS years ago but they still continue to be a dear favourite of mine and though this was the last time I’ll be wearing them for a little while, I’m glad I managed to get an autumn look in before I become too pregnant! I really like the matchy matchy aspects of this outfit, it makes it feel a little retro but in way that is nostalgic rather then replicated. Anyway I hope you like todays post and today’s outfit.

Sending you much love and light for this Friday and this coming weekend.
