Style Story: Minimal Tailoring

Happy Monday and Happy October! Longer length shorts were something I was loving in the summer and are a style that I’ve been taking with me into the early weeks of Autumn. Over the years I have been a fan of teaming city shorts with knee high boots and a good knit, so maybe i’ll re-visit that old time favourite with this black pair once it becomes a little colder. But for today, this trans-seasonal look of mine was about keeping things simplistic, modern, minimal and with a touch of elegance in the form of textures. Unfortunately the camera doesn’t always pick up on the textures of the pieces but the jacket is completely silk which looks great with the croc look of the mules that I’m wearing. When I was styling these shorts I was thinking along the lines of modern suiting, tailored looks don’t always have to be boring.

I think i’ll leave it at that today.

Wishing you a great start to the week,

sending you lots of love and light,

Daniella x
