Though I bought this silk skirt at the beginning of autumn last year, I’ve actually found this to be a wonderful summer piece and found quite a few ways I want to style it this summer. Whilst it’s golden colour evokes a kinda festive feeling during the winter months, I’ve found it works just as well as a somewhat neutral for these warmer months. I love how the skirt looks paired with a simple tee and these equally simple flip flops, which by the way are steadily becoming fundamental to my summer wardrobe. Now I know it’s kinda predictable to say that flip flops are a summer must-have for a lot of people but for the style conscious, there may be a few cynics that turn their noses up at the humble flip flop. But for me and aside from their undeniable comfort, I find them and especially these ones by Tkees to be a casual yet quietly elegant choice of footwear and I like how with an outfit such as this, they are somewhat unexpected.
Also chunky knitwear doesn’t have to be confined to our winter wardrobes (though I wouldn’t blame you, if you needed the break) my mum and I personally love a good chunky knit to throw over our summer attire come the evening when it’s cooler and where we live, I find it can drop in temperature quite a bit come the evening and you need a little cover up.
Ah, so these photos were taken with my old camera (my other one is getting fixed) and hopefully you can’t tell too much difference, to be fair I can’t, as a finished result anyway. But it’s crazy how adjusted you become to dealing with a certain camera. Like with the one that’s getting fixed, we could work in pretty much any lighting, where as the old one that we are currently back to using, we have to wait for the evenings, when the sun isn’t so bright. It’s a little frustrating.
Anyway, I hope you like this look my lovelies, sending lots of love and light this Wednesday,
