Looking at the weather we’ve had over the weekend, its hard to believe that these photos were only taken last week on a beautiful day that felt almost Spring like. We’ve since had snow and so its back to thick jumpers, big coats and weather appropriate footwear.
For today’s look, I am styling a couple of pieces from the vintage online shop, Rokit. Whilst i’m not a hardcore vintage shopper, I have, over the years, accumulated a few special pieces and one of my most used bag is indeed vintage. The latest items that have become part of my vintage collection is this military wool shirt and this floral print midi skirt. I love the mix of the heavy duty, masculine shirt paired with the ultra feminine floral print of the skirt, thus creating a very cool juxtaposition. I also thinks it’s quite symbolic of how we’re almost at the point of transitional dressing and I believe the heavy and light mix tunes into this perfectly.
I love military inspired clothing and to have the real thing as apposed to the inspired designs, is really cool. Rokit has such a wide variety of military clothing, from jumpsuits, to flight jackets, camo trousers (so on trend too right now) military blazers and so on. I also appreciate the different eras on military clothing they cover and though this shirt didn’t have much of a description of its history, a huge amount of their pieces does give you an insight into when the piece was from, which I find really interesting.
I hope you like this look and wishing you wonderful Monday.
Take care,
Daniella xox
