If you want to make a minimal outfit seem more interesting, then I believe that quite often the Key to achieving this is interesting details.
For my first outfit I focused on texture being my point of focal interest. Though the vinyl coat is simple in structure the texture of the piece elevates the outfit basics such as the plain black hoodie and blue jeans and lets face it, come January I feel as though we all feel like our style and daily looks needs a little elevation. The other textured part of this look, was the simple detail but nevertheless a detail that instantly draws the eye in. These polka dot mesh socks not only create a harmonious textured appeal alongside the coat but they also add a delicate contrast to the heavy duty sneakers. Never underestimate the power of the ankle sock!
For the second look the interesting details were centred around proportional details. I played with the lengths of two classic winter coats as well as my cropped, flared trousers. This was a great and fun way for me to challenge the minimalist pallet and the understated nature of the modern classics that feature in this look.
Tell me which one is your favourite (if any)!
Take care lovelies,
