Yesterday we went over to my grandparents house and going to where they live always lifts my spirits. It’s been a bit of a weird week, feeling slightly tense but for no apparent reason and where they live is in a remote village in the middle of nowhere. It is quiet, pretty and peaceful and is surrounded by nature. Though these photos aren’t from yesterday nor were they taken in the village that they live in, this is another place I like to come to get some peace. It’s a train station for a local train that simply goes to and from Bishops Lydeard and Minehead. Anyway on a summer evening when the train station has closed for the day, it’s always very pretty, quiet and calm, with rarely another soul in sight and that’s kind of the vibe I’m craving right now.

There is a lot of building work going on in the building directly next to where we live and I walk out my door and there are builders in front, above and pretty much all around me. This is fine to a degree as I grew up on building sites, so even though the noise can be crazy at times, it is somewhat installed in me to override the noise, though it can make those times where I need to take a nap rather impossible. I can also feel quite anxious being surrounded by so many people, to which are all men, it’s a building site so you can imagine! My dream is to someday, in the very near future to be far out in the countryside somewhere, surrounded by nature, where it’s calm with little disruption.

There are some people who love living where there is hustle and bustle but nope, not for me!

take care,
