As much as I love this look that i’m sharing with you today, I will admit that wearing OTK  boots with a shorter skirt, does feel a little alien to me. I refer to them as my hooker boots because they remind me a little bit of the boots Julia Roberts wore in the Pretty Woman movie (one of my favourite ever films btw). I do feel a little self conscious in them just because they seem a million miles away from my usual choice of footwear. So why wear them if I don’t feel a hundred percent confident in them?  Because I guess I just loved them that much and also the more I wear them, the more I get used to those uncomfortable feelings. I also don’t want to be someone who doesn’t wear what they want just because it has me feeling a little uneasy. I like to push my style boundaries, i’ve never pigeon-holed my style, so why now start now. Do you like to try new styles or do prefer to stick to what you know and what you like? I’m interested to know how everyone else thinks.

I also just wanted to mention that i’ve owned this stripe shirt for years, its by Elizabeth & James and it’s got this slight balloon shape design. But honestly, i’d find it hard to ever believe that someone could ever regret buying a stripe shirt. This piece is by far one of my best clothing investments.

Take care,

Daniella xox
