Is everyone excited for the weekend? So I thought for today’s post I would share with you what I wore last Thursday when it was first evening of late night shopping. I thought it would be cool to share my late night shopping looks for the next couple of weeks, probably every Friday. I’ve always loved late night shopping in our town during the lead up to Christmas because it’s the only time of the year the shops stay open past 5:30. Though Topshop is currently in my bad books because they haven’t bothered to stay open the last two Thursday’s, bad Topshop, BAD!
Whenever I know i’m going shopping, it’s important to remember a few things when getting dressed. Keep it simple, I know that sounds like a style cliche but when you’re walking around the shops, you don’t want to be conscious of your outfit not looking right because you added one too many details in. I like to keep it to a top, bottom, shoes and coat. Of course if needed a hat, scarf and gloves but maybe stick to a beanie as it’s easy to just pull of and slip into your coat pocket. The day I wore this it was freezing and so the ultra big coat was necessary and I loved how the faux fur looked against the feminine blouse. Another thing, a obvious thing really and that is to keep your footwear comfortable, there is nothing worse then having aching feet when trying to concentrate on buying your gifts, its super distracting.
I know there are a lot of people who don’t shop in real life shops anymore and prefer stick to online and whilst i’m an advocate of online shopping too, I just as much treasure the tradition of shopping and plus I like support the shops in my local town as much as I can.
I hope you like todays outfit. Wishing a great Friday and a lovely weekend,
