To kick start a new week of outfit posts, I am sharing this outfit, that I have been very excited about showing you all. I know I have posted even more outfit photos then I usually would but I guess I was just so very happy with the result of the shots, that narrowing them down became difficult, so all I can say is, I hope you like them.
Usually when styling a look I like to keep a relatively even balance between old and new pieces, this is because I believe that by doing so, it creates a much more personal look. But for today’s outfit I styled in three new pieces from my Autumn wardrobe. Yes, you have already seen these Stella Mccartney slippers and you have seen a preview of the bomber jacket (here) but you haven’t seen it styled as of yet. You are also seeing this beautifully modern-femninine dress. I have actually had this piece sitting in my wardrobe for a while but then that often happens when one starts collecting pieces for the Fall. If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen the video I posted of this dress. I did this because I wanted to share just how amazing the dress looked in movement.
I often find if I do want to style a few new pieces into one look, then balance between old and new is restored by choosing some older Jewellery/accessories and so this is exactly what I did. Whilst I can say, that I have never really stopped wearing dresses, a lot of the time they are older dresses of mine as it takes a lot for me to invest in a dress. But I have bought more this year, then I have in the last three years combined! I don’t know what this suggests exactly, other then maybe I want a little more femininity re-introduced into my style but that doesn’t have to mean femininity that is typical and expected. It can be feminine but with a bomber jacket, socks and shoes and a gold coloured chain thrown in for tacky-luxe measure.
Take care and have a great Monday!
