Whilst I believe that leopard print always pops up for Autumn/Winter, its definitely having a bit more of moment this Fall! I remember it was either my 6th or 7th birthday and my mum asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and my response wasn’t a party, it was the request for my mum and I to go on a shopping spree together. Yeah, that’s how deep and far back my love for clothes, shopping and style goes. Anyway, we entered a shop called Tammy (the younger version of Etam, very nineties) and though I bought a few items on the shopping trip it was a leopard print skirt that I remember choosing and then my mum buying. I don’t recall wearing it all that much but I do know that at the time I was passionate about putting the leopard print piece in my wardrobe. That my dears, is one of my earliest memories of the iconic and now classic print.
I think with leopard print I am more of an admirer but that doesn’t necessarily mean I own or want to own a lot of it. Because the fact is I don’t! I have this dress (that i’m wearing as skirt in todays post) and then only a couple of other pieces that feature the print. This also doesn’t mean that i’m not open minded to collecting a few more leo pieces, like a coat. For many years wanted to find the right leopard print faux fur coat and whilst some have come close, none have quite made the cut but I will keep looking.
What are your thoughts on Leopard Print?
Take care,
