Today this outfit would be a little too chilly to wear but a few weeks ago it was perfect. The combination of the heavier wool vest and the croc leather-style shoes with the off white, high waited trousers and metallic camisole seemed like a great way to style a high-low look for Autumn. This old sleeveless blazer/vest is a piece I bring out year after year and is one of my favourite transitional pieces. It is an item of clothing that I will probably own forever.
Who reading this likes routine? Or who doesn’t? Recently, I have felt myself no longer being a fan of routine. There is something about the idea of having to do the same thing at the same time everyday that i’m just wanting to rebel against right now. It feels restricting, like i’m not free to live the way I want to. I want to be able to do things that I want to because I enjoy it and not because its expected of me. Don’t get me wrong, i’m not like a super spontaneous person and I like to make plans here and there and a little structure is good but if it’s to structured, its as though life is in control of me and not the other way around and I don’t believe that’s a good way to live.
I think I need to make some time, have a few days every now and again where I can do the things that make me happy and in my own time, this may just help me appreciate the comfort that can quite often come with a little routine. I guess like anything, it’s about balance.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

I completely agree, it’s all about balance in life, routines are good for some aspects of life, but spontaneous plans are always a plus and a good idea 🙂
