It’s not Christmas yet, I mean we haven’t even had Halloween but I am a Christmas freak and just looking back at these photos, where i’m wearing an extremely beautiful red skirt, I can’t help but a get a little excited for what is 100% my favourite time of the year. Sorry not sorry! It was almost too easy to give in and mimic the ladylike vibes of this skirt and so instead of that I went in a different direction and opted for a little more of a minimal and edgy approach.
When it comes to silhouettes, I have for a long time been a fan of almost anything that isn’t conventionally flattering. Though from time to time, I can certainly appreciate a look that flatters ones figure, there is something about the opposite of this that feels more, well, me. I don’t know whether it comes from having a dad who heavily believed that “sexy” is basically a mini skirt and heels and anything other then fitted was considered “frumpy”. Maybe constantly being exposed to this opinion made me rebel. Or maybe because during my teenage years I was called skinny, anorexic and whatnot and so now, possibly on a subconscious level I try not to obviously expose my figure. But whilst I can admit this, I don’t believe either one of these circumstances to be the reason why I often gravitate to an oversized silhouette, I think I just love this kind of style, I find it chic and it’s as cool and simple as that.
Anyway thats enough for now, I hope you like the look!
Take care and have an amazing week,
