Today I am posting two outfit posts with you. This summer we have made some lovely memories and today I am sharing a couple of them with you.
A couple of weeks ago Conan and I took a trip down to a beach town called Ilfracombe which is situated in North Devon. It was a super hot day and I couldn’t wait for us to take advantage of that. My Dad used to live here back in the day and I know that there are a lot fond memories for him and my mum and so as we walked around, I imagined what it was like back then.
Even though it’s a beach town I wouldn’t really suggest it for a day at the beach unless you live near by, it’s not worth the travel to sit on the beach because the beach just isn’t that great to justify it. But it is a lovely and typically British beachside town and to wonder around for the afternoon, its perfect and I believe it would even make a nice little getaway for a few days. Though, I must admit it was really packed, so many people must holiday there.
My favourite parts of Ilfracombe:
Head down to the Harbour, it makes for a nice stroll and you pass lots of gift shops for cute novelty gifts.
Whilst you are making your way to the harbour, stop by Joe Delucci’s Gelato Parlour.
Location: Withypool, Somerset.
Withypool is still a place that continues to be one of my favourite villages to visit and it’s where my grandparents live. It’s located in the centre of Exmoor and its beauty takes my breath away every time we visit. It’s a beautiful setting all year round but in the summer on a clear sunny day, its magical. Withypool is quaint, idyllic and whilst they get a few tourists in the summers it’s not overly exploited in the slightest. With traditional tea rooms, a local pub and a small village shop, it’s got all you need for a little weekend getaway.
I adore Witypool and hope to live there or somewhere just like it one day.
