For the last few years one of my favourite ways to layer during the summer months is by taking one of my favourite mini skirts and layering it over a dress or a maxi skirt. Β This linen mini skirt by Acne Studios is an oldie but I just love it for layering, in fact I’ve probably layered it over things more then i’ve worn it as an actual mini skirt. I love how the linen material, a classic summer favourite looks with the crisp white, collarless shirt dress. It feels so fresh and chic.

I styled this look with my white mules for a modern accent to compliment the minimalist layers and kept my accessories to all but a few. With just my gold coloured frame sunglasses, classic watch and my old YSL statement ring. It has been a while since I last wore this ring and so I admit it was really nice to get this special piece out again.

My friend Georgia took these photos for me and I LOVE how they’ve turned out! We were really concerned with how they would look due to how bright the sun was that day, plus it was made really interesting when the sun was in and out the whole time we taking these photos. But the result was surprising and the perseverance we had that day, clearly paid off.

I hope you like the look. Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
