Here are some photos from a shoot I did with a local photographer/friend of mine. Every now and again he shoots some photos of me and I always love the end result. He always manages to find cool locations for us to shoot at and he captures me in a way that’s a little different. See I usually do my outfit photos in the evening, where he usually takes my photos during the day and I really like how this turns out, a lot more vibrant in my opinion.
For the first look our location was a cricket ground/club house and I wore my very mini, almost uncomfortably short (for me anyway) dress that I bought years ago from American Apparel. I still love it and for long time it was one of my favourite go-to pieces but in recent years, I have grown fond of oversized styles and androgynous pieces and so wearing this dress took a little getting used to again. But it was what I wanted to wear and I wanted to style it with my CAT boots for a take on 90s style. I styled it with an oversized shirt, wide brim hat and my trusty bomber jacket to make the dress feel more comfortable and fitting to my current personal style.
For the second look I wore my beautifully elegant long slip dress. I chose a contrasting navy lace bra, tied a plaid shirt around my waist and added on my boyf’s flat peak hat. This outfit also fell very much like 90s style and though I didn’t mean for the second outfit to go that way, I like that did.
Well, I hope you like both photos and styling.
