Rainy day style: What to wear on a rainy day during the British summer?! Rarely is this an easy question to answer if you’re are style conscious. Yes, a rain coat, jeans, wellies and possibly a waterproof leather hat would be a smart and not to mention, a classic choice of outfit, at it works and will keep you dry, there is no doubting that. But some of us (me) would get bored of that combination very quickly and especially so with the rain or shall we say irritating drizzle being almost every day at the moment.
Nothing I am wearing in todays look is particularly waterproof but nevertheless, a simple assemble that is relatively appropriate for the dull summer weather. Where we live, when it rains it doesn’t get freezing but it doesn’t exactly stay hot either and so temperature control can be a little tricky to master. I found this outfit to be quite a suitable mixture of light and heavier pieces. A feminine blouse, light and airy and perfect for encapsulating the summer season that is then matched with classic denim, an oversized blazer and some heavy boots. This created for me, an easy, chic and manageable rainy day look, though I also aded an umbrella, an obvious accessory choice when out in the rain. Thankfully when it came to taking these photos, it had all but come to a stop.
Do you ever struggle with creating rainy day outfits?
