The shirtdress I’m wearing here was bought last summer but i’ve only worn it a handful of times. Once at the beginning of last Autumn with a sweater dress, once in Miami (which was my favourite because I didn’t need to layer it and its simplicity was perfect, I promise to share it on the blog sometime soon) and here in todays look. It’s an amazing piece and even though it annoyed me at the end of last summer because I didn’t really get to wear it due to the lack of summer weather we had in this part of the country, it means that it will still kinda feel like new come this summer. Well, thats if we get the good weather that is. In the mean time, whilst this shirtdress is in waiting for the summer months, I am continuing to layer it, which I of course enjoy doing. It shows versatility and that is something I certainly admire and look for when investing in certain pieces. I also think it will look cool with high waisted flares and a crop-top once it’s warmer. I guess i’m also having a fling with military green outwear at the moment, as it was only last week I was wearing this military trench!

Leather leggings always work a treat during this in-between weather stage and a tougher alternative to Spring florals. Not to give the impression that I’m not into floral prints because I soo am! But it’s nice to channel something a little edgier from time to time. I have to say since adding a small fringe to my hair, I am weirdly drawn to edgier pieces and style.

Take care,
