The Little Black Dress. Every woman should own one, there is no doubt about that and if your like me, you may even own a couple. But there is usually that one that is extra special, extra reliable in our sartorial time of need. For me it’s this old shift dress by Acne Studios. Though a little black dress, shouldn’t always just be the go-to piece if all else fails! Sometimes it can be good to wear it because you desire to wear it. Whilst the little black dress can be overly worn as the safe option, it can also just as easily be neglected for the same reasons. Almost, like if I resort to the little black dress, then i’ve failed to be original in my quest of finding yet another outfit to wear.

But let me not forget that one of the many reasons that the little black dress has become such popular classic, is not just because no matter what style, shape or personality you posses it will always make a good fall-back option. But also because the little black dress can be transformed, re-worked time and time in again in the most versatile of ways that can be unique and special to you and your own personal style. The day I wore this, I hadn’t simply resorted to the lbd I wanted to wear it! More importantly I wanted to style it and make the piece that all us women share, mine.

How do you feel about the little black dress?

Take care and have a great week,

Daniella xox
