This patterned fringed knit, is to me an incredibly striking piece, I simply love the style statement it makes! I bought it from Topshop a few months ago and i’m so glad I didn’t let is pass me by. Before I received the knit, I thought it would be a heavy in weight but it’s actually quite light. Even though it was part of Topshop’s summer collection, I think it also makes for some interesting Fall styling. I teamed the fringed knit with what I like to call, my ultimate summer dress! Which hasn’t had anywhere near the amount of wear I had hoped for this summer due to the chilly summer but I guess it just makes it all the more special for when I have worn it! At first I wasn’t sure if the oversized proportions boundaries were being pushed a little to much but then I thought to add this printed scarf that I picked up at a vintage shop a few weeks back. I feel it pulled the look together and in just the way I needed it to. I like that it gives the outfit definition without taking away from the oversized proportions.
The boyfriend of course just did the typical boyfriend thing and compared me to the first thing or person/character in this case that came to his mind, which weirdly was Jenny in the movie Forest Gump! Admittedly I kinda get it. Like I’ve said before, these comparisons make me laugh and keep me grounded. It ensures that I don’t take the way I dress to seriously because there should absolutely always be some element of fun when it comes to fashion and style. Wouldn’t you agree?
