As i’ve mentioned before with this photo post that my boyfriend and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary a few weeks ago. We went to our favourite restaurant to celebrate and stuffed our faces with some incredible food. I kept my look simple yet elegant with an old black Topshop Boutique maxi skirt, that has a beautiful cut and paired it with a low cut, v-neck dress. I often wear it as a top as opposed to a dress, maybe I should try finding an actual top in this sort of style. It might save me the hassle or trying to tuck it in, though in all fairness it’s not too bad.
I also took my vintage clutch, I love how opulent the design, which I mimicked with my good old Yvs Saint Laurent ring. I feel these two touches was just what the simple black and white combination needed. Whenever I go out in to my town for an evening meal, I cant help but notice that people don’t really dress up. Women definitely want to appear more causal, which always leaves me wondering why? I relish in the opportunity in getting to dress up in something a little more formal, not that an excuse or opportunity is always needed because really you can what you want, when you want. I know everyone is different and what may appear casual to me may well be someones else version as dressing up. I actually have to come to notice that more often then not, men make more of an effort then some woman. I know i’m probably sounding judgmental but I don’t mean too, it’s just when i’m dining out in beautiful restaurant, I would quite like the attire to somewhat be considered. God I sound old!
Do you like to dress up in something a little more “fancy” if you are going somewhere nice?
