I would like to share some insight in to the music I listen to and today’s song is: Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay by Otis Redding. Music, like for most people, is a major part of my life. My sister and I were lucky enough to grow up with parents who listened to all sorts of music, leaving us both with an appreciation for many different genres of sound. Though I must say that when I think back to my childhood, soul music and Motown stick out quite predominantly for me. When I listen to this song, it takes me away to different place and time. I imagine myself surrounded by all my loved ones, running up and down a doc, like the ones pictured above and watching the sun go down. It calms my soul and I cherish the moments of peace it brings when I do listen to it. When I consider what happened to Otis Redding, I am saddened. 26 years old is a devastating age to loose your life and especially with his death being so tragic. But at least he lives on in one of the most beautiful ways possible.

What music are you currently listening to?

Take care and have a great Sunday,
